The Tier-1 Entrepreneur visa is based on a points based system of assessment in which the applicant is judged by their capacity of investment or control over those businesses in the UK. This category also allows the applicant to apply for a permanent residence, or immigration to the UK. The applicants are not required to be sponsored to apply for this visa. They also do not need to receive a certificate of sponsorship from any UK business company, colleges or any other institution. The applicants for this visa may start their own businesses or do anything on individual basis but they must not seek employment in the UK. The applicants may get the Tier 1 Entrepreneur visa extended later after satisfying certain requirements. The applicants may also put an application to switch from this type of a visa to another one if not content.
General Requirements
Applicants are required to have studied from institutions where the course was taught in English. The applicants are required to be highly proficient in English Language. The English language requirements for this category of visa are stricter than the rest of visas for the UK.
The applicants must be financially stable and should have enough funds to apply under this category. They should be able to support themselves and any of their family members while their stay in the country. It is important to note that those candidates applying for a tier visa may not seek or undertake employment in the UK. Candidates must be able to satisfy the following criteria:
Ø They must have access to £200,000 British Pound.
Ø This sum must be held in a regulated bank account.
Ø The money must be disposable in the UK, etc.
Apart from all the necessary requirements above, there are many other criteria for making an application which includes Age of the Applicant, Qualification of the applicants, Achievements & Prizes, Business experience and success history of the applicant, Previous experiences in Britain etc.
