It is an Australian Permanent Resident Visa and one can directly apply for citizenship after 2 years. This visa does not require nomination from any community, state or territory, or employer in order to obtain this visa. This visa is intended for highly skilled immigrants under Australian Migration Programme for benefiting the Australian economy. There are some very basic requirements for this visa that has to be met and since it’s a points based system one need to acquire 120 points plus some other factors as well.
The Requirements to Obtain the Visa –
Ø You must have an occupation or skill that falls on the list of approved occupations for skilled migrants.
Ø You must have recent and specific work experience related to your field.
Ø You must be under 45 years of age at the time of application
Ø You should be fluent in English Language
Ø You must pass the point tests.
Some other factors also add to the value for this visa like-
Ø Your occupation in the migration occupation in demand list (MODL)
Ø If you speak one of Australia’s community Languages
Ø If you have a Capital investment
